Our address search defies logic for someone who hasn't been "introduced" to it previously. Hopefully the following instructions will help.

First, the order: NAME and TYPE, DIRECTION, NUMBER, and CITY.
For example, "301 North Main Street" in Fowler would be entered as "MAIN ST N 301 FOWLER" - usually. However, sometimes, especially for La Junta addresses, the TYPE was left out. So the above example would become "MAIN N 301 LA JUNTA". Next - it's okay to leave off the town or city name. There aren't many repeating street name and number combinations in this County so you'll usually find the exact one you're looking for, or you may get 2 or 3 search results to pick from, but that's about it.

Abbreviations
Street is "ST", Avenue might be anything from "AV", or "AVE", to "AVENUE", though usually it's left off completely.
Road and County Road are simply "RD". Highways are "HWY". US Highway 50 is simply "HWY 50". Colorado State Highway 71 is simply "HWY 71", and so on. That will get you through most items.

Finally, if nothing else works, try entering just the street name. For example, entering "Santa Fe" will return a list of all addresses found on any street with that name in every city. It won't be as long as you might think - this is a small County after all - and a visual search of the resulting list will generally help you find the parcel you're looking for.
